Project Experience

Psychosocial Support & Empowerment Program for Vulnerable Women and Girls

AWEVSO has implemented this program for the past five years across several provinces, improving mental well-being, self-confidence, life skills, and social participation for women and girls facing social and economic challenges.

Target Beneficiaries

Vulnerable girls and women; girls deprived of educational opportunities; women with disabilities; women-headed households.

Duration

10-month project cycles, with continuous monitoring of psychological well-being and progress throughout.


Main Activities

How the program runs

Identification & Registration

Identify and register 50 vulnerable girls and women, including those deprived of education, women with disabilities, and women who are heads of households.

Counseling & Psychotherapy

Conduct psychosocial counseling and psychotherapy sessions for participants twice a month, both individually and in groups.

Awareness Sessions

Conduct awareness-raising sessions on mental health, stress management, life skills, and positive coping strategies.

Strengthening Family Bonds

Strengthen communication skills and improve participants' relationships with their children and family members.

Community Participation

Encourage and empower participants to continue their daily activities and increase participation in family and community life.

Ongoing Monitoring

Regularly monitor and assess the psychological well-being and progress of participants throughout the 10-month project period.
